Elderly Service

  • Through the collaboration with non-governmental organizations and public departments, provide elderly service like community support and residential care, as well as assist the elderly in maintaining mutual contact with the society, in order to have fruitful elderly life, especially in providing assistance to the elderly who lack condition of living alone and their families, allowing them to enjoy healthy life.
  • Provide technical support and resources assistance to non-governmental organizations (IPSS) and social service facilities in areas of elderly service.

Senior Citizens Card

1. Introduction:The holders of Senior Citizen Card are granted the benefits or offers provided by the public or private entities which have signed agreements with the Social Welfare Bureau. There are two formats of Senior Citizen Cards, physical card and electronic card, both of which retain the same effects.

2. Target Groups:Elderly persons aged 65 or above and holder of the Macao Resident Identity Card can apply for the Senior Citizen Card.

3. Application Procedures:
i.     Simultaneous Application of Subsidy for Senior Citizen and Electronic Senior Citizen Card:For the elderly persons aged 65 who apply for the Subsidy for Senior Citizen, within 6 working days after the application has been successfully submitted, the applicants can obtain the Senior Citizen Cards in electronic format through the SWB website or the SWB WeChat. For those who request the physical format of the Senior Citizen Cards, it is required to apply at the Social Welfare Bureau.
ii.   In person submissions:the applicants may submit the required documents in person at the application venues.

Required Documents:

  • duly completed application form;
  • Valid photocopy of Macao Identity Card;
  • Proof of address (ex: water or electricity bill of present living place).

 

If the applicant is unable to apply personally due to physical disability, first of all, his/her representative has to present the original of applicant’s identification document, together with the application form and relevant information, to the application venue listed above for verification and handling.

3.    Online Application:Click in the website:
http://iasweb.ias.gov.mo/elderlycard/ecard.jsp and fill in related information. Within 6 working days after the applicant has successfully submitted the information, the Social Welfare Bureau will inform the applicant to collect the Senior Citizen Card in person at the designated location (Online applicant has to sign in presence; it cannot be done by a representative on behalf of the applicant).

5. Collecting Senior Citizen Card:
i. Electronic Senior Citizen Card:“Senior Citizen Card” holders or applicants can log in to the website:https://iasapp2.ias.gov.mo/ias_sccard or “Social Welfare Bureau IAS” WeChat, input basic information and collect the Electronic Senior Citizen Card. The cardholders can save the screenshots of the cards in the mobile phones or login in the WeChat to make use of the cards.

ii. Physical Senior Citizen Card:   The card(s) may be collected within 6 working days upon receiving all the required documents; if a representative obtains the senior citizen’s card on behalf of the applicant, he/she has to present the Macao Resident Identity Card (original) of the applicant and the relative receipt.
