Social Welfare Bureau channels for suggestions and complaints

It is most welcome suggestions about SWB services through the following channels of communication:

  • Place your written opinions in the Opinion Box provided at the different service units of Social Welfare Bureau (during office hours)

  • All provided information is handled confidentially by SWB personnel responsible of dealing with the case brought to our attention. Other personnel of our Bureau or any third parties will have no access to the information without your consent.

  • As stipulated by Article 21(2) of Decree-law no. 5/98/M dated 2 February, the records of anonymous suggestions, complaints or objections shall be destroyed.

  • As stipulated by Article 21(3) of the aforementioned decree-law, a response to suggestions, complaints or objections with information of identification and address should be provided by SWB within 45 days from the date of its reception.  In case the response cannot be granted in due time, SWB will present an explanation and the concerned person will be informed of the expected date.
