Target Group

Elderly persons aged 55 or above.

Regardless of where the elderly resides, he/she can choose the membership of “Praia do Manduco”Centre for the Elderly .

Content of Service

Provide social, recreational, educational activities and other social services to elderly persons.

Application Procedures and Documents Required

Completed and submitted the form of “Formulário para o Pedido de Servi?o de Encaminhamento para Lar de Idosos” by applicant, or his friends and relatives to the designated locations with:

• Photocopy of Macao Resident Identity Card of the applicant
• Medical declaration issued by Health Bureau

Time for Approval

The applicant will be notified within 7 working days on receiving the application and the required documents. (Performance Pledge)

Referral to Home for the Elderly

Application Venue

Target Group

Individuals or family members incapable of self-care due to old age and in need of residential service for the elderly subsidized by Social Welfare Bureau

Application Procedures and Documents Required

Completed and submitted the form of “Formulário para o Pedido de Servi?o de Encaminhamento para Lar de Idosos” by applicant, or his friends and relatives to the designated locations with:

• Photocopy of Macao Resident Identity Card of the applicant
• Medical declaration issued by Health Bureau.

Charge

There is no charge for Referral Service, but the charge for service after referral will depend on services provider.

Time for Arranging Appointment

Depending on the application. If necessary, immediate interview can be arranged.

Senior Citizens Card

Application Venue

All Social Service Centres under Social Welfare Bureau.

Target Group

Elderly persons aged 65 or above and holder of Macao Resident Identity Card can apply for senior citizens card.

Observations
Senior citizens card holders are entitled to the welfare and the preferential rights provided in cooperation agreements/protocols signed by Social Welfare Bureau, public institutions and enterprises.

Application Procedures and Document Required

The applicant is required to make an application at Social Service Centres under Social Welfare Bureau and submits:

• Applicant form;
• Photocopy of Macao Resident Identity Card ;
• 2 recent photographs of 1 1/2 inch;;
• Other relevant documents of the application (For enquiry, please contact Social Service Centres).

Observations

• Application form can be downloaded through this website. The applicant has to present in person the duly completed and signed form to Social Service Centres of our Bureau;
• If the applicant is unable to apply personally due to physical disability, first of all, his/her representative has to present the original of applicant’s identification document, together with the application form and relevant information, to Social Service Centre for verification and handling;
• Concession Booklet of Senior Citizens Card.

Note:
If a representative obtains the senior citizens card on behalf of the applicant, he/she has to present Macao Resident Identity Card (original) of the applicant and the relative receipt.
